25+ years in roofing and leak detection. Leads operations, client relationships and commercial strategy. Career background in flat roofing — his father was a flat roofing contractor — and a working knowledge of how membranes fail in service that no textbook can teach.

Ben Hickman
One of the UK's most experienced independent specialists in structural waterproofing and roof leak investigation. Expert witness in waterproofing failure disputes, with court testimony experience. Contributing author to CIRIA C817 and to the BS 8102:2022 revision.
Project Engineer
Sean
Vector's full-time project engineer, running on-site sensor commissioning, leak investigation surveys and the day-to-day delivery of the buried leak location work. The pair of hands that turns design intent into a properly installed and commissioned system.

Vector is engaged by Tier 1 contractors, institutional developers, housing associations, asset managers and architects across the UK. We are regularly called in after two or three failed investigations by others — sometimes more. The brief is almost always the same: find the leak, document it defensibly, oversee the repair.
Our monitoring work spans green roofs, landscape podium decks, inverted roofs and CLT timber structures. We work UK-wide.
